Describe a historical figure

You should say:

Thomas Alva Edison

Although there is a gamut of historical figures that I admire, the one who tops the chart would be Thomas Alva Edison. World-renowned and appreciated for his work, he was an American inventor who lived during the end of the 18th century. Apparently, Edison was named as one of the greatest inventors in the globe as he has more than 1000 patents to his name.

Amidst other findings, one of the greatest inventions in his kitty is the bulb. In his biography, it was mentioned that Thomas had experimented more than 1000 times to invent this bulb but failed each time drastically. However, he didn’t give up. It was only through his strong persistence and determination that he finally found the bulb. Alongside, Thomas Edison was also the co-founder of General Electric – a giant multinational company which is still in existence today. However, it has been transformed into a high-tech company that sells a variety of products.

One of the reasons why I like Edison is because of his determination. During that time, scientists only had to work with limited equipment. With no basic resources in hand, such as a calculator or a computer, Thomas didn’t give up but continued with his work. Not just his professional but personal life is motivating and inspiring as well. When he was a child, he dropped out of school because his teachers considered him too dumb to learn anything. I applaud him for what he has done for the world and it is no wonder that he is an idol for many people.

Describe a person who has interesting ideas or opinions

He is a businessman and very successful at that. Physique-wise, he is slim, tall and handsome. Interestingly, one of the things that I like about him is that he is extremely health conscious. Sure, he works hard at his business but also looks after his body. He eats nutritious food and exercises without missing a day.

From my father, I got to know that Mr.Jai commenced his business at the age of 20 with only Rs. 100. He had his share of ups and downs. All these years, he garnered a lot of knowledge on varying subjects and concepts, such as home remedies, health, history, politics, religion and much more. His house is filled with books on different topics.

Once, I had a nice conversation with him where he shared a glimpse of his journey with me. He told me how he started his business, failed at it and then finally got success. He also told me a few ideas to lead a healthy, prosperous life. All of these ideas, in my opinion, were amazing.
Something that I like the most about him is that he always goes into the depth while discussing something. This way, the listener always learns something new and different.
